40th Anniversary of the NSW Aboriginal Education Policy

What we do

The Nanga Mai Awards recognised the 40th anniversary of the NSW Aboriginal Education Policy in public schools. Gravity Media worked with the NSW Department of Education to shine a spotlight on the work that went into developing the 1982 NSW Aboriginal Education Policy. The video invites viewers to learn more about the Aboriginal Education Policy from those who helped create it, including Uncle Bob Morgan, Dr Lynette Riley and Narelle Daniels on behalf of her mother Joyce Woodberry.

What we used

The Gravity Media production crew stepped into the studio at the Production Centre in Sydney, to produce the video to celebrate this very important occasion. The video highlights the progress made in Aboriginal education as a result of the Policy and pays tribute to all those who were involved. The production team provided production and post production services and utilised our 9m LED wall and green screen to help set the scene to travel back in time to 1982.

Outcome

The video was presented at The 17th Annual Nanga Mai Awards which were hosted at the Sydney Opera House. The video was also distributed to all public schools across NSW and was listed on the NSW Department of Education website. The website also features the video of the 17th Annual Nanga Mai Awards 2022 ceremony which was also a Gravity Media production. Watch Here
