What we did

Gravity Media have been providing technical facilities for tennis productions for more than 15 years. Our teams have been onsite at multiple Roland Garros tournaments to provided dedicated 24/7 technical provisions and specialist camera services.

What we used

At the 2020 Roland Garros, Gravity Media set-up a 16 camera RF system, with coverage zones across the entire 21-acre estate.

We also supplied Simplylive ViBox Systems as production workstations for vision mixing, replay creation, graphics, and clip management.Our teams also installed four beauty cameras; providing high-quality atmospheric pictures for the broadcaster, a flypack for the complex big screens, and a studio for the Federation Francaise de Tennis (FFT) to produce two wraparound shows a day.

In addition to our RF coverage, Gravity Media also provided all specialist cameras used across the entire Grand Slams tournament. These include, the PTZ camera, Beauty cameras, Steadicams, Robocams, Helicams and Netcams.

Outcome

In all, we delivered more than 2,300 hours of live and uninterrupted coverage, representing 789 tennis matches.
