What we did

Gravity Media’s Outside Broadcast truck HD 5 was onsite for ABC TV, as the Sydney Symphony Orchestra took to the stage for the grand reopening of the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall.

Featuring Mahler’s Second Symphony with Chief Conductor Simone Young & a cast of Australia’s leading musicians. After two years of renewal works, the Concert Hall of the Sydney Opera House is finally ready to reopen.

This historical moment marks the Sydney Symphony Orchestra’s 90th anniversary and their return to the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall – the iconic venue that it has called home since its opening in 1973.

What we used

Gravity Media provided a 10 camera coverage for the Gala including remote robotic camera solutions.

Communications were integrated between Gravity Media and the internal Sydney Opera House infrastructure to provide wireless and wired communications to the team within the concert hall.

ABC classic conducted the orchestra audio mix on passing to the Gravity Media Outside Broadcast truck to integrate with on site hosting and provide the final on air audio mix. Gravity Media also provided SNG services for signal transport for the live broadcast on ABC.
