René Steinbusch has been Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of EMG / Gravity Media Germany since July 2022. He has been part of the company since 2009 – at that time still operating under the name nobeo GmbH – and initially served as Head of the Organization and Human Resources Department. Over the years, he gradually assumed more strategic responsibilities, including serving as Chief Operating Officer (COO), overseeing areas such as Human Resources, Commercial, and Operations.
With the merger of EMG and Gravity Media in 2024, René Steinbusch continues to lead the German operations and plays a key role in the integration of the two companies, as well as in the ongoing development of the Hürth site into a leading European production hub. He consistently drives the integration of technological innovation with operational excellence – across studio, live, and outside broadcast operations alike.
René Steinbusch holds a Master of Science in Economics from the University of Cologne and a Master’s degree in Sports Science from the German Sport University Cologne. His extensive industry experience, combined with a sharp eye for economic and structural developments, makes him a key leadership figure within the global group.
